Eccentrick!!!

This years show wasn't bad. The art work was very organized and each year everybody has great ideas on work. When the art show was open it was pretty much my hang out spot. I watched almost all the videos and it definitely killed time. My favourite part would be the cypher that would happen outside and the creative stuffed animals that were hanging. The amount of multiple exposure pictures amazed me. There was so much work that went into this art show. Next year could have maybe more variety of types of art and maybe some decoration here and there just to give the room a mood. All in all I kinda liked what was shown.

Tech-NO!

Technology has come a long way from what it was 20 years ago. Wireless Internet can now be accessed almost everywhere through cellphones. As a generation that grew up with so much technology it is very easy to expect computers to compute faster and signals to reach longer just because its just given to us. I see two sides to this story. The generation that has seen all this technology evolved is very thankful for it but as kids its very accessible. The guest in the show made a very good point about the advancements that have been made. Personally I do take these things for granted because I use it everyday just like food and water. People are in desperate need of food and we easily depose of leftovers in the trash in an instant. Even though techonology isn't essential, but some say it is, it has the same concept. It wouldn't hurt to make this a little faster and make life that much easier.

Cell Phones!

Cell phones are a pretty cool invention. With all our technology and advancements we put in a pocket sized rectangle such as music player, Internet browser and even an alarm. As the famous quotes say "With great power comes great responsibility" and this is very true when it comes to cell phones. We have the responsibility to make sure our phones don't disturb our daily lives. Some good guidelines to follow is to always keep your phone on vibrate so nobody can hear it go off, another well mannered way to use our cell phones is to not bring it at all to special occasions like weddings and ceremonial events because a phone cant be more important than what is going on. If it does catch us off guard then we have to take it outside so no one else can be disturbed by a conversation, if its private or not. Some people take conversations to the washroom and I find that very awkward and weird! When people are doing their business I'm sure they don't want to hear someone ranting about their lives so definitely not in the washroom. One time i saw a bus driver talking on a cell phone while driving! With many lives in his hands i don't think he can afford a conversation while he is working! So when driving don't call or pick up the phone. Ive also heard its equivalent to driving drunk. However I'm sure it depends on the driver.

Personally I don't notice people talking or texting when I'm around them so i guess i don't mind. BUT, i definitely notice them in the washroom. I've never realized how much of a pet peeve of mine until now. Cell phones are great and all but keep em out of the washrooms! The best place to go is outside where your voice can definitely diffuse in the open air. Other than that, phones don't really bother me
