Cell Phones!

Cell phones are a pretty cool invention. With all our technology and advancements we put in a pocket sized rectangle such as music player, Internet browser and even an alarm. As the famous quotes say "With great power comes great responsibility" and this is very true when it comes to cell phones. We have the responsibility to make sure our phones don't disturb our daily lives. Some good guidelines to follow is to always keep your phone on vibrate so nobody can hear it go off, another well mannered way to use our cell phones is to not bring it at all to special occasions like weddings and ceremonial events because a phone cant be more important than what is going on. If it does catch us off guard then we have to take it outside so no one else can be disturbed by a conversation, if its private or not. Some people take conversations to the washroom and I find that very awkward and weird! When people are doing their business I'm sure they don't want to hear someone ranting about their lives so definitely not in the washroom. One time i saw a bus driver talking on a cell phone while driving! With many lives in his hands i don't think he can afford a conversation while he is working! So when driving don't call or pick up the phone. Ive also heard its equivalent to driving drunk. However I'm sure it depends on the driver.

Personally I don't notice people talking or texting when I'm around them so i guess i don't mind. BUT, i definitely notice them in the washroom. I've never realized how much of a pet peeve of mine until now. Cell phones are great and all but keep em out of the washrooms! The best place to go is outside where your voice can definitely diffuse in the open air. Other than that, phones don't really bother me

I used my cell phone in the washroom once, but it was because I knew that I would have gotten in trouble if I used it in an area.
